Universal Design for Learning: a Framework to Engage Apprentices More Effectively (March 2020)

 

We know students vary in how they absorb information, apply learning, and juggle the demands of intensive apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. How can program designers, instructors, and mentors support the diversity of program participants? Sam Johnston from the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST), and Myriam Milfort Sullivan from JFF join us to discuss the applicability of UDL, a research-backed education and training framework that can reduce distractions, improve learning, and help apprentices engage successfully.
