California has the most extensive apprenticeship system in the country, with many programs connected directly to California Community Colleges. The State has a goal of establishing 500,000 earn-and-learn apprenticeships by 2029, creating a new vocational pipeline of high-skill workers. Through funding from organizations such as the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office and the Irvine Foundation, we want to continue leveraging funding to expand apprenticeship and collaborate with our California Community Colleges, local education, and state agencies to be thought partners in bringing apprenticeship to scale throughout the state.
